Can you believe this? Now the organized crime community are selling Trojan bot collected credit card data to each other on password protected sites..
Just saw a TV documentary where there are password protected criminal sites that have personal credit cards and data for sale, selling for as low as $3 to $4 per.
The Idea is you buy a stolen card or two and then make charges against the card until it goes *Tilt*. What you get you keep, and if you used the servers in Russia, who refuse to divulge any info to authority, you are in the clear.
Guess cyber crime pays in Canada. Have you heard of much in the way of convictions? I hesitate to mention that the Federal Cyber - Crime fighting team seems to comprise of two employees. Let’s hope there are more cyber enforcement people in credit info theft in Canada. I know there is an efficient counter child-porn protection team based in Toronto. Getting results too.
